Group Biography
Virginia Bronze is the only auditioned community handbell ensemble in Northern Virginia. Thematic concerts often include transcriptions of choral, organ or piano literature and original compositions as well as collaborations with other musical ensembles. VB has performed at the Atrium at Meadowlark Gardens, Anderson House in Dupont Circle, Alexandria First Night at the GW Masonic Temple, the U.S. Botanic Gardens, Burke Library Grand Opening, and many churches, schools and retirement centers in the Metropolitan area. Director Biography
Carol Feather Martin graduated from Oberlin Conservatory in 1978 and received a double major MM degree from Catholic University in 1985. She has just begun her 21st year as Director of Music and Arts/Organist at Trinity Presbyterian in Arlington, VA where she directs a program of nine choirs of singers and ringers. In 2006, Carol became the Artistic Director for Virginia Bronze. Under her leadership, the group has become recognized for their musicality and thematically crafted programs. Carol has performed in Canada, Germany, and the US and led many professional workshops. She is a member of AGO, Choristers Guild, AGEHR, The Hymn Society, and ACDA.
